I would like to share a new company I found through the ABC Kids Expo called Piggy Wiggies. They are cute little stuffed animals made from socks. There is Bingy n’ Lilly, lelu, Doodles, Yoyo, Sophie Wophie, Mrs P, Cheecky Monkie, Molly and then a collection called Swet Pea. Each of these unique animals is made from Love by Emma Louise. I would like to invite you to check them out at http://www.piggywiggies.com and let me know which one you like as I have two of them to giveaway as my son refuses to part with the blue one which is Cheecky Monkey and the baby of the lot. One thing I like about these is they are double sewed so kids of all ages can play with them. Even my dog Loves them and if Charlie is not playing with his then I find my puppy cuddling up to them. So you may want to buy double if you have a child. I do know I will be purchasing some of them for our Stockings and the kids in the neighborhood. So if you collect keychains you might like to know that there are 5 of them. Another thing I like is they are named after her family like Bingy and Lilly is her and her sister. Since I also have a sister I think I will get these two for me and for her so even when we are not together she will know I am close by. What It Is

Piggy Wiggies are a family of soft, collectible, hand-crafted pigs. Each pig has its own personality. The fabric of each pig is actually a colorful sock. The noses are made out of sewn-on buttons. There are a variety of sizes and collections. In the Daisy Collection, there are five pigs—Yoyo, Freckle, Lelu, Mumsie, and Doodles—that retail for about $12.99. The Sweet Pea Keychain Collection includes five smaller pigs that retail for about $6.99. There is also a Santa Snorz pig from the Special Occasion Collection that retails for $13.99 and a Bingy n Lilly pig two-pack from the Limited-Edition Collection that retails for $17.99.

Why It’s Fun

These little pigs are really cute and soft. Each Piggy Wiggie is different so kids can choose the one that most appeals to them or collect all of the different pigs.

This little piggy went to market. This little piggy stayed home.

We all know the rhyme. Lately, M has been really into us playing This Little Piggy. When he sits on the potty, he asks me to play This Little Piggy, and then we count our fingers and toes. So when I saw Piggy Wiggies at ABC, I was in love. Of course, it didn’t hurt that the owner and creator also had some mighty cute owls out as well! Unfortunately, the owls don’t come out for a little longer, but when they do? You can bet I’ll be first on the list to get my hands on some

Anyway, the Piggy Wiggies arrived at the door. I opened them up, and ooohed and ahhed over them before packing them neatly into the box and putting them on the top shelf of my desk. Usually, when I get a review item I hand it to the kids immediately. But this time, I didn’t. The Piggy Wiggies stayed in their box. And there they sat. Every so often, I’d open the box and look at them. I’d marvel at how darn cute they were. And then I’d pack them all back up in their box and put them back on the shelf. I’d had them for over a week and M and TNB had yet to put their hands on them. It finally occurred to me that I needed to take some pictures for my review and I started trying to figure out why I still hadn’t taken my Piggy Wiggies out of the box. I finally realized what was going on. I wasn’t giving the Piggy Wiggies to my kids because I wanted them for me.

These little pigs are so darn cute, I didn’t want to give them to my kids because I wanted them for me. They’re the type of toy where I want to put them on a shelf and look at them instead of letting them get drooled on. I didn’t want sticky fingers touching MY cute little pigs. It wasn’t something I consciously decided to do, but I was guarding my pigs from my children. Of course, once I realized how wrong that was, I handed the little pigs over to my babies the next morning.

Both kids love their Piggy Wiggies. M has made sure everyone knows which one is his, and is very concerned when TNB doesn’t have hers and he has his. The pigs are made of old socks and are super super soft. I love them, and so do the kids. A super cute and fun part of Piggy Wiggies is they each have a story behind them. I talked to the owner at ABC and she told me each story is focused on one of her family members or friends. I love the idea, and it makes these little friends extra special. They each have a name and a personality and style. I can’t wait to see the owls. I’m sure they will be just as soft and snuggly and cute… and maybe those I WILL keep for myself and not let the kids touch

What are Piggy Wiggies? Piggy Wiggies are some of the cutest toys I have seen in quite a while! They are a family of hand crafted collectible pigs, that are made a lot like a sock monkey, but cuter! Piggy Wiggies come in different colors and sizes, and each Piggy Wiggies style has it’s own little loving personality and story. They are the newest collectible craze, as soon as you see them you will want to collect them all!

To me, Piggy Wiggies are my new definition of cute! They ship them in a regular cardboard box , but they stick a special Piggy Wiggies sticker on it, that really makes it stand out. As soon as I opened the box I found two adorably decorated Boxes, along with some matching tissue paper. Each box features the Piggy Wiggies logo on the front of the box. The top of the box has a place for you to write, who the Piggy Wiggy is to, and who it is from. This is especially nice if you are giving it as a gift, you really don’t need to giftwrap them, and if you do, the matching tissue paper is already included!

I opened up the first box to find Mumsie, a bright yellow pig with big purple nostrils, made out of cute shaped buttons. The ears stick straight up and are the inside of them is decorated with Yellow and Purple flowers. A tag is attatched to it’s ear, and in the inside you will find this little story:

“Mumsie is the mother of the family. She has a warm heart and is a free spirit. She loves to look after other Piggy Wiggies. She enjoys cooking and trying new recipes on the family! Give her lots of smooches, and she will fill your life with warmth and happiness.” This precious Piggy Wiggy is very soft and cuddly, just like the other Piggy Wiggies. This adorable piggy is from their Daisy Collection.

When I opened the second box, I found a little Lime Green pig accented with orange and Orange button nostrils. The ears were decorated with a cute little floral print, that really makes them stand out. Doodles is perfect for my sons, as it is a male piggy! There is also another male piggy, his name is YoYo. On the inside of Doodles tag, you will find the following story: “Doodles is the dad of the family. He is strong and brave, but is a big softy at heart. He will look after you other Piggy Wiggies and make sure they are all happy. He’s kind and loving. It’s always great to have Doodles around!” Doodles, along with the other Piggy Wiggies are handcrafted with love. Besides their line of Piggy Wiggies and Mini Piggy Wiggies, they also offer a darling keychain. Please note* Piggy Wiggies are intended for ages 3+.

Piggy Wiggies make the perfect gift for any girl or boy! I would purchase them as birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, and even favors for a party. The only problem I had with them is my son’s kept fighting over which one gets to play with Doodles(the male piggy). The Piggy Wiggies inspired us to change the lyrics to the “This Little Piggy” nursery rhyme. Now we say ” This little Piggy Wiggy went to the market. This little Piggy Wiggy stayed home. This little Piggy Wiggy had Roast Beef. This little Piggy Wiggy had none. And this little Piggy Wiggy went ‘Wee!”Wee!”Wee! all the way home”. My two year old gets such a kick out of our newest little nursery rhyme twist! Piggy Wiggies are a huge hit in my house, and I am sure they would be in yours too!

Today we got a great little package in the mail that put some big smiles on my kids’ faces! We got a sample of Piggy Wiggies and they are adorable. They are being hugged while I type and the kids watch a movie for some quite time after a big day out today.

These Piggy Wiggies were created by a mom and each has a story. She named them after members of her family and there are 12 different Piggy Wiggies. They are made out of socks, fabric and buttons and are super soft. My daughter said their ears are cute and my son likes the one that came on the key chain because he can “hook it to stuff.”

Piggy Wiggies was named Plush Toy of the Year by Creative Child and can be found in boutiques, zoos , FAO Schwarz or for our readers, the best option is online at the Piggy Wiggies website.
